Meet Royce

On Sunday, a Good Samaritan witnessed a car pull over, take something out of their car, leave it on the side of the road and drive off. What they had placed on the side of the road was Royce, in a filthy wire kennel and in terrible condition. There is no telling what Royce has been through or where exactly he came from, but on one glance we could tell he was in rough shape.

Royce has severely deformed ears and one deformed foot, which could have been birth defects or due to previously sustained injuries. He was extremely dehydrated and had green discharge from his nose and eyes. He is also positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and should not be living outdoors or in unsanitary conditions. He is being cared for closely by our Shelter Medical Team as we work to find the best solutions for his condition, and we are seeking Foster for him with someone who has experience caring for medical cases. If you are able to open your home to foster pets like Royce, please email foster@greatplainsspca.org today!
