Hendrix is losing hope

Hendrix is a five-year-old American Bulldog mix who is an all-star ball player, lover of cuddling, and energetic playmate with other large dogs. He is at that great age where he is out of the puppy stage but still has a zest for life and is a perfect size at 60 pounds.

Hendrix has been through a lot in his life. He has been in and out of the shelter multiple times due to circumstances beyond his control. Because of his unstable past, he does best with slow introductions to new people so he can learn to trust you. A home with no one under 12, without small animals and with a yard will set him up for success. He does well with other large dogs who can match his energy, like Chellie who is his most recent playmate!

Our staff and volunteers are extremely committed to seeing Hendrix flourish. Hendrix gets lots of one-on-one time with our staff and volunteers and play dates with other shelter dogs. Hendrix thrives with consistency, routine and exercise. He is eligible for Foster-to-Adopt, which means you can foster him to make sure he’s a good fit before finalizing his adoption. He also gets to attend our six-week Basic Obedience course free thanks to Toner Jewelers! We are confident Hendrix will excel in the right home.
