Second Annual VolleyPaws Sand Volleyball Tournament
Get ready to bump, set and spike for shelter pets at Great Plains SPCA!
VolleyPaws is a sand volleyball tournament held on August 23, 2025 from 5pm-midnight at Shawnee Mission Beach Volleyball, benefiting Great Plains SPCA. This human-only event features teams competing in matches. Spectators are encouraged to join in on the fun and support a good cause!
Proceeds from VolleyPaws go directly to help Great Plains SPCA continue its lifesaving work to help animals in our community.
About VolleyPaws
Tournament Divisions:
- Competitive (A Division): For teams that are highly competitive with experienced players & power hitters.
- Intermediate (B Division): For teams that are competitive & attempt to make 3 hits per side. Power hitters should not be in this division.
- Recreational (C Division): For teams wanting to play recreational volleyball (minimal spiking). For players that just want to have fun!
Tournament Info:
- Co-ed teams of at least 6 players (must have equal or more female players on the court).
- Waivers are digital. All players must be added to your team entry by 8/20.
- Amazing raffle prizes and Great Plains SPCA merch will also be available!
- You don’t have to play to have fun, be in the sun, and love on some pups. ALL ARE WELCOME!
Registration:
- Online registration is open until 8/20/2025
- $180/team, including 6 player tanks
- Walk-up registration will be from 4-4:45 p.m., pending availability. Additional fees may apply.
- Games begin at 5:00 p.m.
