The curriculum for camp emphasizes kindness, respect, responsibility, and decision making as well as problem solving, reading and writing. There will be time each day to interact with a shelter pet – whether in the classroom or reading by a kennel, but this camp focuses on education and teaching the next generation of pet owners all about proper pet ownership.
- – Please bring your child no earlier than 8:45 am and pick him/her up no later than 4:15 pm each day. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide child supervision outside of these hours.
- – All Young Heroes must wear closed-toe, rubber-soled shoes and casual, comfortable clothes including the provided camp shirt and name tag every day.
- – Young Heroes will be in direct contact with dogs, cats, and other pets. We cannot accommodate children with pet allergies.
- – For questions or more information, please contact Anna Stark-Dowling at
