Stay at Home

Dear Supporters,

Effective May 11, Johnson County’s “Stay at Home” order will be lifted. Staff and animal safety remain our number one priority and we have been diligently working on a phased plan to return to normal operations.

As of now we are continuing our animal control partnerships with our seven municipalities, admissions and adoptions will remain by appointment, onsite volunteering will be limited and we will be slowly returning our staff who have been working remotely back onsite. All access to the shelter will continue to be by appointment only.

We will now be accepting limited drop off donations including kitty litter, beer flats, newspapers, unopened pet food, bedding, towels, toys, and wet food. If you would like to donate any of these items, they can be sent to the shelter directly via mail or dropped off outside of Pet Adoption Center at 5424 Antioch Drive.

All staff and visitors will still be required to wear face masks and support social distancing by remaining six feet apart when on campus.
We will continue to keep you posted on our operations here via our website, through our emails and via social media.

As always you can reach us anytime via info@greatplainsspca.org

Thank you for your continued support. We could not do it without you.

Thank you,

Tam Singer CEO, Great Plains SPCA
