Mimsy has been in our care for nearly 600 days. Brought in as a stray in May of last year, Mimsy was extremely shy, fearful and undersocialized. She would shut down anytime someone new tried to interact with her.
Since arriving, our staff has spent countless hours working with Mimsy to better understand and care for her. She has shown slow and steady progress over the long period of time that she has been in our care. She has begun soliciting attention when she wants it and enjoys head pets from people she trusts. She got to spend time in Foster Care for a few months, but now she is back at the shelter looking for her forever family.
Mimsy is our longest term animal right now. Nearly 600 days is a very long time for any animal to spend in a shelter.
