A Note From Tam Singer – #GivingTuesdayNow

“Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference.”
  -Kathy Calvin

#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020, as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

COVID-19 has touched every one of us—our lives forever changed by this global pandemic. For those who have suffered loss during this time our thoughts are with you.

Since the Kansas “Stay-At-Home” order was put in place, Great Plains SPCA has taken in 226 animals, arranged adoptions for 210 dogs and cats, found fosters for 90 pets, provided more than 6,000 pounds of pet food to those in need, and helped 63 families through our HERO (Humane. Education. Resources. Outreach.) program.

Throughout these recent unsettling weeks, the Great Plains SPCA team has been at the shelter every day, caring for vulnerable animals and assisting the people who love them. Will you join us today on #GivingTuesdayNOW to support this work and the needs of homeless pets?

Your donation, no matter how small, can make a material difference to the lives of our shelter pets. Please consider making a donation to Great Plains SPCA.

Thank you,

Tam Singer CEO, Great Plains SPCA
