We are the KC Improv Company, a cast of professional actors performing short and long form improvised comedy every weekend in Westport at the KC Improv Company Theater! The KC Improv Company started in a basement in 2004, with a fledgling group of 5 improvisers performing for friends and family. After word spread about the joy and laughs they were creating, the group moved their performances to comedy clubs, colleges, and festivals. In 2012 the KC Improv Company started performing a prime time show at the Westport Coffeehouse Theater, where we are still located today. We have since grown to perform 3 shows a week, as well as private, corporate, and team-building events throughout the Midwest, operating a year-round curriculum of improv classes. Today, we employ over 25 professional actors and comedians. We have trained with nationally recognized improvisers from The Second City, UCB, and other national theaters.
