Hi everyone! My name is Diamond and I’m a beautiful girl hoping to find a forever home!
When I came to Great Plains SPCA’s Independence Campus, I was a very nervous gal with trust issues. I really didn’t like my kennel and all the people and dogs walking by made me really nervous. Luckily, I was able to go into foster, and since then I have really come out of my shell and have learned a lot! I have lots of energy and I love to run around the backyard and play with my foster fur-siblings!
A few things to know about me: I like to have a slow introduction with other animals. Becoming fast friends isn’t really my thing, but if you give me time, I’d totally want to be friends with other pets. I am also protective of my space – especially when it comes to the backyard! But, if my foster parents are back there with me, I feel safe enough to let people they trust come back for a visit. The gas meter maid knows to ask my foster parents to come back with him so he feels safe and I do too! I am kennel trained and my foster dad reports that I go in there just fine while he is away! I have been around kids and I just love them! Remember that I have a lot of energy, so I may knock them over, but it’s just because I love them! With a little supervision, both kiddos and myself will feel safe being around each other.
I’m just looking for my forever family! Could it be you? Paws crossed! Love, Diamond
