Parvo is highly contagious disease, spread from dog to dog, specifically affecting unvaccinated populations of dogs young and old. Vaccines can prevent this infection, but mortality can reach 91% in untreated cases.
Meet Chloe, Chloe is A 3 year old Chihuahua brought to Great Plains SPCA this month needing life-saving care for the treatment Parvo. With the help of our amazing medical staff and round the clock IV fluids & medications, we are hopeful Chloe will make a full recovery.
When you donate to our Fund the Shelter Match campaign, your generous donation can help provide care for dogs suffering from Parvo like Chloe.
Every year close to 500 puppies enter Great Plains SPCA, and 25% of those tested were positive Parvo and needed life-saving treatments. Please help Great Plains SPCA continue to save lives like Chloe by joining the Funding the Shelter Challenge now through September 30th, where all donations are doubled.
The Fund the Shelter Challenge is over, but you can continue to support Great Plains SPCA by clicking HERE.
