Alumni Autumn’s Progress

Once underweight and homeless, Amethyst, now Autumn, is safe, healthy and loved in her forever home. After grieving the passing of their family cat, the Matties decided they were ready to adopt again and fell in love with Autumn in August of last year.

John describes how wonderfully Autumn has fit into their family:

“Kasey, my son, decided which cat to adopt. Autumn is a very lovable cat. While she is most partial to Kasey, she is a family cat in many ways. She often visits each member of the family individually for affection and pets. Autumn’s playtime is that of a mouser-type cat who enjoys chasing things on the ground. Autumn is a wonderful addition to the family and we are very glad we have her.”

Autumn is certainly living her best life. The Mattie family is pleased with Autumn’s progress as well as their positive experience with Great Plains SPCA:

“Autumn was underweight when we first got her. When we first started feeding her, she would gobble it up and be competitive with our other cat. Once she realized that competing for food was no longer necessary, she stopped overeating and has a healthy weight. Great Plains SPCA was a great experience. We got to know some of Autumn’s history which really helped Autumn transition to her current life.”
