Volunteer Spotlight: November

Please join us in congratulating our November Volunteers of the Month! Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization and our shelter pets are lucky to have amazing people like them advocating on their behalf every single day!

Merriam: Jonathan Morgan

Jonathan has volunteered with Great Plains SPCA since June 2017.  In this brief time, he has already made an enormous impact on our team members and shelter pets.  Jonathan is one of the first people to arrive at our shelter on weekend mornings and he is always ready to help out, wherever needed, with a smile.  “I absolutely love seeing the animals finding families.  That is the absolute best!” Jonathan says.  “My favorite responsibility is socializing the dogs.  They are all so fun, loving and affectionate.”  On behalf of Great Plains SPCA, thank you for all you do and congratulations on becoming Volunteer of the Month!

Independence: Angie Bloss

Angie joined our Volunteer Program when we first opened doors at our Independence location in 2013.  Angie has owned animals her entire life and knew volunteering was the perfect opportunity for her family.  Since then, she has accumulated more than 3,000 hours of service with us!  In addition to helping potential adopters meet pets, she assists at our off-site events, lends a hand at our Lost Pet and Intake Center and can even be found volunteering at our vet clinic!  Angie says she especially enjoys assisting our veterinary team with any case “large or small.”  On behalf of Great Plains SPCA, thank you for all you do and congratulations on becoming our Volunteer of the Month!
