Great Plains SPCA offers microchipping as a public service.  The cost is $25 per animal and can be done Monday – Saturday 9am – 5pm.  We use 24HourPetWatch microchips, a universally read microchip. Great Plains SPCA enrolls new microchip clients online when the microchip is implanted and we will pay the enrollment fee.  The process takes approximately 15 minutes from start to finish.

Microchipping is beneficial to cats as well as dogs.  Keep in mind that 58% of dogs are reclaimed while only 5% of our cats are reclaimed.
