Our Vision for 2013

Over the last twelve months, our organization has grown significantly, both in its physical size and the reach of our lifesaving programs. Our vision for 2013 is to expand our reach even further, so that more pets receive the care they need and the hope they deserve. Now with bi-state facilities in Merriam, KS and Independence, MO, we will serve more than 30,000 pets this year and save thousands more lives.

It is our goal to be a resource, a true destination, for all people and pets in Kansas City, including you! Whether you are looking to adopt, interested in affordable veterinary care, seeking dog training, or needing pet supplies, please think first of Great Plains SPCA.

With our new facilities, we are a closer to our goal to transform Kansas City into a No Kill community. This means that pets would no longer lose their lives due to space limitations in area shelters or due to the inability to treat manageable medical or behavioral challenges. But, we need your support to realize this goal…

Join us in 2013 to drive our community forward to the place where adoption ranks first, veterinary care is readily available, spay/neuter efforts grow, people get involved by volunteering and collaborative relationships are built – know that in doing so, you are creating a better life and future for a local pet in need.

Make your resolution to help Kansas City pets! A monthly donation of just $10 from everyone in our community would make euthanasia a thing of the past. Together, we CAN do this!

Will you join us in 2013? Will you be their HERO?
